Job Description :
As a member of the TEKELEC CODC development team, will be responsible for the design, development and Maintenance of Signalling Gateway software subsystem.

Duties of the Position:
Participate in all phases of the development cycle, including feature definition,design, coding, testing, system integration, documentation, and support. Collaboration with other internal and external product development teams is expected so complete solutions are provided. Other duties as assigned.

Education:
BS/MS in EE/CS or equivalent

Skill Requirements:
3+ years of development engineering experience in telecommunications is required
Strong understanding and experience with formal software development processes is required
Strong experience in RTOS(pSOS, VxWorks, etc.), UNIX, and C/C++ is required
1+ years of hands-on development experience with the following telephony standards and protocols: MTP3/MTP2, M3UA/SCTP
Experience in developing high availability systems is required
Formal development environment experience (source code management, bug and problem tracking, release packaging and load building) is required
Good written/orial English is required
Understanding of MEGACO, RTP, MTP3b/SSCOP/ALCAP protocols is highly desired
Understanding of VoIP technologies, network architecture and related applications is desired
Understanding of other SS7 related protocols, e.g. ISUP/SCCP/RANAP/BSSAP/TCAP is desired

Job Description: Tester/developer
This position involves system test responsibility covering all areas of the Tekelec T3000/T8000 switching platform. The candidate will also be required to perform some tool development. The successful candidate will be motivated to understand all hardware and software aspects of the system, rather than desire to focus on a specific feature or aspect. This position requires the ability to work well with developers and managers in a lab environment

Essential Skills:
Core Responsibilities: Test case development, test tool development, execution and test result reporting, documentation and review.
Technical Competencies: System level feature and regression testing experience in a telecom environment, preferably focusing on Class 4 and Class 5 applications, telecom and datacom protocols, or Voice over IP products and services.
Experience with multiple of the following is essential: IP, SS7/C7, ISDN-PRI, GR-303, MFC-R2, V5.2, CAS, ATM, SIP, H.323, H.248, MGCP, SONET.
Ability to identify problems, recognize the severity and impact of those problems, and report and track them through the established mechanisms.
Working knowledge of C/C++ and Java

Additional:
Must be able to work independently, and with minimal supervision, while providing visibility into results and project status.
Must be able to work in collaborative teams and be flexible in assigned work.
Must understand and apply sound test methodology in developing and executing test plans based on internal/external requirements and customer-driven, solutions-based scenarios.
Must be able to interface with other departments to create an effective and cooperative development and test environment.

Considered a plus:
