KDDI cites tough competition as earnings slide 12.2%
KDDI' first-quarter net profit slumped 12.2% as it struggled to win new customers in an increasingly competitive market, an AFP report said. KDDI posted a net profit of 72.46 billion yen ($681 million) for the three months to June, the first quarter of the fiscal year, as its fixed-line business continued to lose money, the AFP report added.
